when a Bangladeshi guy annoys the hell out of you but still makes you laugh

Time: Late night. Almost 11PM.
Place: Restoran Pak Cik, CFS IIUM Nilai, Blok E

My dormmates Dida, Syiqin and Fani went to Pak Cik for late night dinner. Since it was late and Pak Cik was closing, the Bangladeshi worker (whose name I forgot but I know it starts with S) approached them and try to sell the ordered-but-not-picked-up nasi gorengs. The original price for one nasi goreng is RM3, but the guy offered RM2. Dida asked for RM1. His reaction:

"Kalau mau angkat, angkat. Kalau tak mau, saya bagi kucing makan. Nanti dia doa sama saya."

the end

Do you know why I try the hardest that I could to go to school everyday these days? Like everyone knows, we Form 5s are getting closer to end our school days.

Honestly, the idea of not going to school anymore scares me, although that is what I have been dreaming of. We go to school everyday knowing what to expect, or at least, we can have the ideas of what's going to happen. We know who are we going to meet. We know where we are heading to with each step we take. We know that we are going a place we are familiar with, or for some, feel safe at.

I didn't like going to school, and I couldn't wait to graduate from school. But ever since I watched this scene in One Tree Hill a few years ago, suddenly my eyes became wide open of what school is to many of the students. In that scene, the school counselor asked Brooke about her plan for college. Here's what she said: "The truth is I don't really like to think about college, 'cause that means high school's over. After graduation, everyone will probably go play basketball or sing or start record labels. And I'll have to start all over. Alone."

That made me think. School is a safe place, whether you realize it or not. Like I already mentioned, we know what to expect in school, but not outside. I don't know what to expect later. I don't know whether I'll get to meet my friends again. I don't know how we all will change. I don't know whether things can stay same. Some, at least, if not all. And the truth is, I'm kind of scared about the future.

And that's why I try hard to go to school every single day. I don't have much time left to cherish everything I have now. Therefore, I want to make use every minute of it very wisely now, so that I will know, I did have my own safe place once. I'll also know that I have priceless memories about one of the best times of my life :')

bundles of smiles, bundles of tears

Hello there, Bulan.

How are you? It's been a while since I last talked to you. I'm sorry. And I missed you.

My life has became better these days. I have appreciated being a 5 Amanahian more than I used to. I have fallen in love with the loudness, the hippiness, the happiness and the wildness of this class. I fell in love with 5 Amanah so deeply that I'd feel sad if I missed a day of schooling. My relationship with my friends has improved. I, have improved. Whenever the old me - the moody me - reappears, I'll quickly remind myself of what Britney had said, "I choose to be a happy person,". I want to be happy. Therefore I will remember things that would make me happy and smile. And I also have a great friend sitting beside me. She helps me whenever I have problems. Any problems. It's like I have a second Dayang here. Although they are different both inner and outer, I feel like she is my second Dayang. Since Dayang isn't here and we rarely have a long, great BFFE chat, I told her a lot about things I usually keep to myself. Alhamdulillah for that. And, I also had another rainbow here - John Doe. It's funny to think what I was willing to do just to see him and be near him.

Had? Yes, that's the bitter part. Today is his last day here. And I had no idea about that until about 10.40 am just now. I came across him, holding something I wish I wrongly saw, walking from a place I wish I wrongly thought. That was the last time I ever saw him. Then I sat in my class, gazing at the ceiling, feeling my eyes getting sour.

Bulan, you know what? Before I decided to let my feelings for him soar, I argued a lot with myself. I don't want to be left again. I don't want to get hurt again. But my heart won the battle. And now, I'm left here, again, hurt, again. It's scary to think that I won't be able to come late to school late with him again. That I won't be able to watch out for him if I'm faster than him. That I won't be able to say, "Ah, John Doe lambat lagi," again. That I won't be able to walked behind him after school again. That I won't be able to look at his nice black bag and wondering where did he buy it. That I won't be able to wonder whether there could be anyone that can wear that kind of bag with much more simplicity and elegance again. That I won't be able to see his beautiful smirk again. And that I won't be able to look at his back and feel safe again.

What do I do now, Bulan? I know I should be happy and proud for him. But somehow, I don't feel right. I think maybe I should just trust Chuck. He said if we love something, we should set it free.

Anyway, it's only life, isn't it? It hurts, but it's OK. It's only life.

That's all for now. Thank you for listening. Don't worry about me, I'll be fine. Time heals. At least now I have my 5 Amanah to cheer me up. And please, watch over my loved ones for me, will you?

Love,
shahida

Jangan Bunuh Katak Itu

Last Friday morning we 5 Amanahians all became The Katak Killers (hey guys, can you please find some other names? I hate the way hians sounds :/ ). Haha. Once we get inside the lab, everyone became super excited to rip open the frogs' chest and immediately became perasan after putting on the lab coats:P

ATT: I didn't kill the katak nor did I do anything to hurt the poor froggie. I am such an animal lover, I don't have the heart to cut open its chest:D

Say hello to Froggie, Froggina and Froggie & Froggina Jrs:D

meninggalkan aku sendiri

Inilah antara yang terjadi sekiranya cikgu Bio meninggalkan kami di makmal pada jam 12 tengah hari tanpa sebarang kerja untuk dilakukan:

Sorry Khai..
